'Share the love' this Easter/Passover Season

This is a family friendly event where we will do in-home visits with isolated elderly here in San Francisco!

'Share the Love' means sharing your time and friendship to alleviate loneliness and depression in the over 20,000 elderly who live in isolation, here in San Francisco, alone. Studies prove that that elderly who feel socially connected and have social interaction are at least three times as likely to report very good or excellent health compared to those who don't have regular social interaction.

Come join fellow PCNC friends and family on Saturday, April 23rd as we partner with the Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly organization in reaching out to isolated elderly here in San Francisco. We will meet at the assignment center, on 1199 Bush Street, and whether you go in pairs, or solo, you are guaranteed to have an amazing experience. Our elders are our past, and we have so much to learn from them.

Anyone doing a solo visit must be 18 years of age, but children are encouraged to participate with their parents or guardians. The elderly love meeting families and having a lively conversation - this will not only brighten their week, it will brighten yours!

Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly is a national network of non-profit volunteer-based organizations committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among the elderly.  They offer to people of goodwill the opportunity to join the elderly in friendship and the celebration of life. Check out the website for more info: http://littlebrotherssf.org

See you there!

Date / Time: Saturday, April 23 from 11:30 am -2pm (end time estimated)

Location: We'll meet at 1199 Bush Street, visits will happen in a designated neighborhood in SF
