Falconry 101: Majestic Birds of Prey and Other Raptors

Join us in Palo Alto for an unforgettable family-friendly event. Get up close and personal with a hawk, falcon, or owl. Master Falconer Kate Marden and her fellow instructors will be on hand to let Princeton alumni and their families experience falconry.

Watch the aerial antics of several falcons as they dive at thrilling speeds in a live lure-flying demonstration, showing why they are the fastest animals on the planet, and why falconry is often called “the sport of kings”.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Imagine having a trained hawk fly close over your head or past your shoulder.  If you want to feel the delight of having a hawk, falcon, or owl sit on your fist, this is the event for you. This promises to be a fun and fact-filled occasion with ample photo opportunities and one-on-one time with these incredible birds of prey.
