An Evening with Amin Ghaziani - Postdoctoral Fellow at Princeton University

Join us for a very special event for LGBT Princeton alumni and their spouses/partners.

We will be joined by Amin Ghaziani, Cotsen Postdoctoral Fellow.  In addition to getting a chance to meet him and mingle with other FFR alumni, Amin will give a presentation on "Post-Gay Princeton." Appetizers and beverages are being sponsored by the Princeton University Office of the Alumni Association.

Amin Ghaziani is a postdoctoral fellow at the Princeton Society of Fellows and Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of British Columbia. His research focuses on LGBT politics and culture. His first book, The Dividends of Dissent, focused on surprising benefits of infighting in lesbian and gay Marches on Washington. He is currently writing his next book, which inquire into gay neighborhoods, such as Boystown and the Castro, and the media’s claim that they are an endangered urban species. His talk is titled, “Post-Gay Princeton,” and he will discuss LGBT student organizing on campus from 1972, when the first student group formed, until 2010.

We invite gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered men and women alums of Princeton University and their spouses / partners to join in. Students over the age of 21 are also welcome. Thanks to FFR/Princeton BTGALA and Princeton University Office of the Alumni Association's David Mejias for organizing!

The Fund for Reunion is the Bisexual, Transgendered, Gay and Lesbian Alumni Association (BTGALA) of Princeton University.
