Candlelight Concert Featuring Renowned Princeton Musicians

As part of their West Coast tour, the world-class Salome Chamber orchestra is offering a free performance for Princetonians and friends in the Bay Area.

Salomé Chamber Orchestra, New York City's electrifying new conductorless string ensemble, was founded in September 2009 by the Carpenter siblings (violinists Sean ’03 and Lauren ’06 and violist David ‘08).

The Orchestra has performed at venues around Manhattan including Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, Christie's, MILK Studios and the Metropolitan Museum of Art; and on NPR's Performance Today.

This season Salomé ventured beyond New York with tours in the Caribbean, Florida, California and later this season to Portugal, Spain, Belgium and Germany. Salomé has collaborated with leading soloists, including conductor Alan Gilbert, pianist and conductor Christoph Eschenbach, guitarist Sharon Isbin, violist David Aaron Carpenter, singers Rufus Wainwright, John Legend, Natasha Bedingļ¬eld, Michelle Williams, Philippe Quint, Karen Gomyo and Daniel Hope.

Salomé is based in Manhattan and consists of top-ranking graduates from the Curtis Institute of Music, the Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Princeton University, and Yale University.

For more information please visit www.salomechamber.org.

Sunday, March 9 at 7 p.m. The one-hour concert will be followed by a wine and cheese reception, and the opportunity to visit with the members of Salomé.
