Hike an Ancient Forest with Save the Redwoods League

The Save the Redwoods League has recently acquired a tract of land in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains through which we will have a guided tour. Don’t pass up this amazing opportunity to learn about environmental protection from the experts!

Since 1918, the Save the Redwoods League has protected nearly 200,000 acres of forest and helped create 63 redwood parks and preserves.  The League is a land trust, which means it acquires and restores property to ensure its permanent protection. Our fellow alumnus Sam Hodder ’91 is the new head of this fine organization and he has graciously agreed to provide us with a special opportunity to experience the result of his latest efforts.

CARPOOL REQUIREMENT
When RSVPing, please include whether or not you need a ride, and if you have a car, how many fellow alumni you can fit and where you are coming from. This is necessary due to limited parking at the site.

FINE PRINT
The 2.5 mile hike we arranged is moderately difficult and may involve crossing a creek so waterproof footwear is encouraged. The location is roughly equidistant from San Francisco and San Jose, but parking is limited so carpooling is necessary. Additional details will be provided to the final list of attendees.
