Habitat for Humanity Park Beautification

PCNC is supporting Habitat for Humanity and their Park Beautification program in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco. The program seeks to beautify and expand neighborhood parks to make them cleaner, safer, and more accessible for everyone.

Likely volunteer activities include park clean up and minor gardening projects.

Below are some volunteer guidelines:

  • Wear old clothes—inevitably you will be getting dirty
  • Wear layers of clothes—long pants and long sleeved shirt
  • Wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes with good tread
  • Bring raingear and/or sun block and sun hat depending on the weather forecast
  • Water and snacks will be provided by Habitat, but please bring your own lunch and water container or any special dietary foods
  • If you have a favorite pair of gloves, feel free to bring them. Otherwise, we will have a pair for you.
  • Note that projects take place rain or shine, barring high winds or dangerous weather conditions

Participants will also be asked to bring a signed waiver form with them to the site in the morning.
