About Our Speaker:
Eric A. Berg is a litigation lawyer and special counsel with Foley & Lardner LLP. He is extensively experienced with federal government investigations involving electronic surveillance, foreign corruption, and transnational crime, as well as cross-border transactions, due diligence, capital sourcing, and fund formation. He is a member of the firm’s Government Enforcement, Compliance & White Collar Defense Practice.

Prior to joining Foley, Mr. Berg served as a trial attorney in the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice. His career with the DOJ focused on the use of electronic surveillance in criminal investigations aimed at the prosecution of organized crime, violent crimes, corruption, the misappropriation of public funds, and drug trafficking. While at the DOJ, Mr. Berg also completed detail assignments to the Department of Justice’s Kleptocracy Initiative, where he conducted financial and real estate investigations connected to foreign corruption, and with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the SouthernDistrict of California, where he led prosecutions that combined federal grand jury investigations with undercover operations.
