Save the Bay's Coastal Cleanup Day!

Calling all Tigers! Each year we join with Save the Bay (led by David Lewis '83) on Coastal Cleanup Day to remove trash and litter clogging the waterways entering the San Francisco Bay.

WHEN
Saturday, September 15
9am-noon (plus extra time for lunch — optional)

WHERE
MLK Jr. Shoreline (exact meeting location TBD later by Save the Bay).

Coastal Cleanup Day 2018 is nearly here — Saturday, September 15! It has become a PCNC tradition to join in cleanup efforts with Save the Bay (a great local organization led by David Lewis '83). We'll meet up at MLK Jr. Shoreline (in Oakland, across 880 from Oracle, with nice views of the bay — we saw some great wildlife last year!). After getting instructions from the Save the Bay staff (and eating the bagels and bananas they provide), we'll pick up all kinds of trash from the shoreline and try to win prizes for the weirdest items found. After noon, whoever from the Princeton crowd is disposed to hang out can join up for lunch at nearby picnic tables and eat great sandwiches from Joaquin Deli, sponsored by PCNC.

Additional notes: kids are welcome, with parental supervision, ideally 3+ years old. Carpooling encouraged. : ) Please RSVP to Catherine Baker '97 at ccb [at] stanford.edu and mention whether you need a ride or have a spot in your car (and where you'd be driving from).
