Time Present,
Time Past, by Bill Bradley '65
In this impresive
memoir, Bradley uses his memories of life on and off the court and the
Senate floor as a starting point for discussions of race, imigration,
campaign financing, and political integrity. Through skillful writing,
a wealth of experiences to draw upon, and a genuine and abiding interest
in the well-being of this country, Bradley writes a genuinely revelatory
book, informed by intelligence, compassion, and unprecedented candor.
Bradley also writes about deeper questions, fusing variegated experiences
into a compelling philosophy of where we should go as a country and
as a people.
Directions: From
Highway 92, take the Ralston Ave exit. Take a left onto Ralston Ave.,
then take a left on Christian Drive, and an immediate right onto Ralston
Ranch Road. Or take CalTrain to the Belmont station and talk to Teri
to arrange for a ride from the station.

Daniel J. Warmenhoven,
CEO of Network Appliance, Inc.
Dan has been President
and CEO of Network Appliance, Inc. since 1994. Prior to that, he was
Chairman, President and CEO of Network Equipment Technologies, Inc.
He has also served in management and technical positions at Hewlett-Packard
and IBM. Dan graduated from Princeton in 1972 with a BS in electrical
engineering.
Network Appliance
pioneered the concept of the "network appliance," an extension of the
industry trend toward specialized devices that perform a specific function
in the network, similar to the development of the router for network
communications. Its products improve the accessibility of data stored
on networks and can be used to enhance Internet bandwidth and web performance.
Network Appliance had revenue of almost $300 MM for its fiscal year
ending April 30, 1999 and has been growing at annual rates of 80 to
90 percent. [Dan will be speaking about his experiences leading Network
Appliance in the rapidly growing and changing Internet environment.]
The lunch will
be held at the offices of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, 975 Page
Mill Road, Palo Alto. 975 Page Mill is half a block west of El Camino
Real on the south side of the road. The building complex is shared with
Genencor; the lunch is in the building closest to Page Mill Road. As
space is limited, please RSVP before attending.
