A property of the
National Trust for Historic Preservation, Filoli is a wondrous 654-acre estate
30 miles south of San Francisco. Magnificent gardens are seemingly untouched by
the passage of time. A grand Georgian mansion sits amongst these gardens where
hundreds of rare flowers, plants and trees flourish.
The Guided Nature Hike covers roughly 3 miles of trails and takes approximately
2 1/2 hours. Nature Docents describe wildlife, plants, endangered species and
the historical background of the area.

| Evening Baseball Game
Come enjoy a night of
baseball with fellow young alums as the Giants begin their second season at the
beautiful Pacific Bell Park. Enjoy a view of the bay while watching America's
favorite pasttime as the SF Giants, the 2000 Western Division Champs, compete
against their rival, the L.A. Dodgers.
Directions:
On Muni
Board the Muni Metro N line (or special K or M service on game days) and ride to
the Second and King station, adjacent to the ballpark.
Take a Muni bus or ride Muni Metro to downtown and transfer to the Muni Ballpark
Shuttle Bus, which runs from above the Montgomery Street BART station at Second
and Market directly to the ballpark and back.
Ride Muni buses 15 Third, 30 Stockton, 42 Downtown Loop, or 45 Union directly to
the ballpark.
On Foot
Enjoy a leisurely stroll along The Embarcadero, or take a quicker route down
Second Street from Market Street. Go a little early and stop at one of the many
restaurants and food shops on the way. Most fans can walk from Market Street to
the ballpark in about 20 minutes.
Driving Directions
Driving is another option, but please plan ahead and arrive early because
parking in the immediate area is limited.
From the Peninsula/South Bay
Take I-280 North (or US 101 North to I-280 North) to the Mariposa Street exit.
Turn right on Mariposa Street, then left on Third Street to get to the parking
lots.
From the East Bay
Take I-80/Bay Bridge to the Fifth Street exit. Turn right on Fifth Street, right
on Folsom Street, then right on Fourth Street. Merge into the left lane and
continue on Fourth Street to the parking lots (across bridge).
From the North Bay
Take US 101 South/Golden Gate Bridge to the Downtown/Lombard Street exit. Turn
right on Van Ness Avenue, then left on Golden Gate Avenue. Turn right on Hyde
Street and go straight across Market Street to Eighth Street. Turn left on
Bryant Street and right on Fourth Street to the parking lots (across bridge).

| Architectural Tour and Swim in Marin
In a joint-club event,
the Princeton Club of N. California and the Yale Club of SF invite alumni to
help celebrate the opening of a new community center in Mill Valley, Marin
County. This event will be hosted by Larry Chang (P’85, Y ’89), one of the
architects who worked closely on the project. He will first give a tour of the
facility, and then we’ll all go swimming in the indoor pool--complete with
water-slide! Bike trails and outdoor basketball courts are also nearby for your
use.
Directions: Take 101N or S into Marin County, and exit at the Tiburon/E.
Blithedale offramp. Follow E. Blithedale into Mill Valley until you reach the
4-way intersection with Camino Alto. The community center looks like two large
barn-type structures, and the parking lot is accessible from either street.
Light refreshments will be served during swim time.

San Francisco |
| Securities Fraud in the Internet Age
Marc Fagel ‘88, a branch
chief in the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), will discuss securities
fraud in the Internet Age and the steps that law enforcement is taking to stem
the tide. His presentation will touch upon: massive stock price swings triggered
by hoax press releases disseminated via the Internet; market manipulation
schemes perpetrated by teenagers and college students with little more than a
personal computer; and organized crime’s infiltration of the stock markets.
Fagel serves as the branch chief in the Internet Enforcement Branch of the SEC,
where he specializes in investigating Internet-related securities fraud. This
luncheon will be of interest to people with legal and non-legal backgrounds.
Come and meet other local alumni and enjoy a lively talk and discussion over
lunch. Luncheon reservations are required at
least 24 hours in advance; to reserve, contact
