House Concert with Rebecca Plack Ferguson '91 7/22 4-6 San Francisco Dan Sullivan '63
A private concert with Rebecca Plack Ferguson '91 in the home of Nelson Wild '55.

Nelson Wild '55 will host a private concert with Rebecca Plack Ferguson '91 for up to 20 fortunate Princetonians in his home in San Francisco. Rebecca is a performer who specializes in art songs of the 19th century, especially German Lieder. She is also a musicologist who is currently researching how opera performance practice has changed across the 20th century. She will be accompanied by Steven Bailey, a pianist on the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory.

The program will include songs by Franz Schubert and Hugo Wolf, and some rarely performed settings by the English composer Graham Peel -- and some other favorites as well. Much of this music was originally composed for intimate performances in private homes, so this will be a rare opportunity to hear it in its intended setting. Refreshments will follow the performance.
