| San Franisco Luncheon - June
Deirdre Nurre
*88 will discuss environmental issues and opportunities in California.
Californians face increasing trade-offs between beneficial growth
and the preservation of our resources including air, water, and
natural ecosystems. What should be our priorities for environmental
protection in the state? What role can businesses, lawmakers, non-profit
environmental groups, and governmental agencies be expected to play?
Ms. Nurre is the Environmental Education Coordinator for the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency in the Pacific Southwest region.
She received her B.A. from U.C. Riverside and a Masters in Public
Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School. Her work for the EPA over
the last 10 years has included coordinating the agency's efforts
at closing military bases and serving as State Liaison to the California
legislature.
Come and meet other local alumni and enjoy a lively discussion over
a catered lunch. Reservations are required at least 48 hours in
advance. Email RSVPs are preferred.
