Help Save the Bay plant native wetland plants

Save the Bay is an Oakland-based non-profit organization, run by Princeton alumnus David Lewis ('83), whose aim is to protect and restore San Francisco Bay and its watershed. We'll help Save the Bay restore wetlands at the mouth of San Francisquito Creek by planting native plants including pickleweed, marsh gumplant and alaki heath. No experience is necessary. Save the Bay will provide gloves and tools and recommends you dress in layers and bring a rain jacket and your own water bottle. To get there, take Hwy 101 to the Embarcadero Rd. exit. Head east toward the Bay. Take a left at the end of Embarcadero Rd. Follow the sign to the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve. Continue about 100 feet past the white ranger station on your left, where you will find a large gravel parking lot, also on the left. We'll meet at the Save the Bay truck. Ivy Alliance Treasure Hunt 5/22 12-5 San Francisco Lisa Pinsky
Ivy Alliance Treasure Hunt
Sponsored by The Cornell Alumni Association of Northern California

The Cornell Alumni Association of Northern California invites alumni
from the Ivy League, Seven Sisters Colleges, Stanford, and MIT to
participate in a Scavenger Hunt on May 22, 2004.

Join the Princeton team for a high-tech treasure hunt unlike
anything you've seen before. Each alumni team will be provided with a
web-enabled cell phone and digital camera, then receive missions to
explore the Haight Ashbury neighborhood and Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

The Go Game is a cutting-edge urban adventure game. Through clues
downloaded to a wireless device, hints planted in unlikely places, and
actors who are part of the action, you'll be guided through a city you
only think you're familiar with. Clues can appear at any time,
anywhere.

This will be a great opportunity to meet other interesting people from
your school, as you work cooperatively to solve riddles, be creative,
act crazy, and have fun. Even better, through mysterious and secret
patented techniques, we've managed to provide all of this to you
without the awkward silences, contrived dialogues, and excessive noise
of a typical bar or club event. But fear not, all you loyal patrons of
inebriation and social lubrication, you'll have a chance to satiate
your thirsts at our after party, where we'll all get together to toast
the day, laugh at our foibles, meet the other alums, and PICK THE
WINNERS! Costumes, secret agents, cool people, puzzles, water fights,
and alcohol - you just can't have this much fun without an explosives
permit, a pallet of beef jerky, and a flock of geese!

Register by the May 1st deadline for the discounted price of $30.
After May 1st the price rises to $35. Cell phones, cameras, and all
equipment will be provided.

Princeton Women as a Positive Force

PWN Annual Tea

The Annual Tea is the keystone of the Princeton Women’s Network series of events. This is an enjoyable event that draws wonderful women from throughout the Bay Area who graduated from Princeton in the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s. Each year we select a topic to get the conversation flowing, which always takes us in unexpected and interesting directions. This year we will build our discussion around Princeton women as a positive force.

Each of us has a unique impact on those around us, and we will begin the conversation with a panel of alumnae from the various decades who are a positive force in diverse ways - in the community, in the workplace, in the arts, in the home, in politics. . . the possibilities are endless. We invite you to join us for a salon-style afternoon of inspiring conversation and refreshments. Please RSVP to Suzy Tompkins ’96 at stompkins@sfai.edu for directions to Madalyn’s home and further information.
