An easy 4-mile hike through Laurel Canyon to Wildcat Peak

Welcome spring with a pleasant 4-mile loop hike in the less developed part of Tilden Regional Park. The route goes up Laurel Canyon before climbing to the 1250' summit of Wildcat Peak, with views over much of the SF Bay area. Bring lunch, sunscreen, and something warm for the windy summit. Princeton friends and children are welcome

Driving directions: At the intersection in the Berkeley hills where Spruce Street crosses Grizzly Peak Blvd and becomes Wildcat Canyon Rd, turn from Wildcat Canyon Rd onto Canon Drive. Go downhill about 0.3 mile, turn left on Central Park Drive, and go a short distance to the parking area for the Tilden Environmental Education Center.
