| An afternoon walking tour over Nob Hill and Russian Hill
to Aquatic Park Take
a break from your December activities for an afternoon walk up and
down through two of San Francisco's special neighborhoods. Starting
by the cable car turnaround at the Powell Street BART station, we
will climb up Nob Hill to Grace Cathedral at the crest of the hill.
After touring the little residential alleys nearby, we will move
on to explore some of the parks and garden stairways of Russian
Hill, including Macondray Lane (the setting for Armistead Maupin's
"Tales of the City"), and the curvy block of Lombard Street. We
will end up at Aquatic Park and the historic ships docked at the
Hyde Street Pier. We can return to Powell Street via the cable car
($5) or SF Muni bus ($1.50). Princeton friends and children are
welcome.
RSVP is helpful, but not required.

This year, thanks to a special opportunity, the PCNC Holiday Party
will be held in The Krug Room champagne cellar of The Bubble Lounge
in San Francisco.

Please RSVP to Cathy Legg '99 at cathylegg@yahoo.com if you will
be attending - we need to provide final numbers to Bubble Lounge
by December 5th.
Please note that guests must be over the age of 21 to attend.
Please also note that non-members are welcome to attend but there
will be a $10 cover charge for eacn non-member to help defray the
cost of hors d'oeuvres and service. There is no cover charge for
members or first guest of each member. To pay via PayPal, please
send payment to dues@pcnc.org and put "PCNC Holiday Party" in the
subject line. Please also include your name, class year, email address
and guest(s) name(s) if applicable.

We hope that you will join us!

Ivy League Young Alum Bimonthly Mixer!!!
Tuesday, December 13th, 6:00pm to 10:00pm
Sake Lab (Lounge) 492 Broadway (at Kearny), San Francisco
Please register your response at the e-vite to help us gauge attendance
and
to help our venue plan! See the e-vite at:
http://www.evite.com/rhodes@post.harvard.edu/december
Young Alums (20s/30s) of all Ivy League colleges and grad schools
are
encouraged to join us for another blow out drinks night at Sake
Lab! Our
last two events each drew over 300 Ivy Leaguers, and this one will
be even
bigger!
Continuing a three year tradition of Young Alum Mixers, we’ll gather
after
work to eat, drink, and be merry.
In their continuing bid to be our permanent venue, Sake Lab is giving
us
exclusive use of the entire place (bar, lounge and restaurant),
seven
dedicated staff, and a DJ for free. They are also pricing ALL drinks
at $4
for the WHOLE event. 6pm to 10pm. For those coming straight from
work, the lounge is conveniently connected to Sake Lab’s restaurant
and sushi bar. So, you can easily grab food with your old classmates
or newfound friends.
Since Sake Lab is doing so much for us, we would like to give them
a fair
estimate of attendance. Therefore, we ask that you please click
“yes” “no”
or “maybe” on the e-vite.
Spread the word to your Ivy friends!
No cover.
Enter through the Lounge entrance at 492 Broadway (at Kearney) (look
for the blue "Lounge" sign)

The Princeton Club will be hosting a private reception for alumni following the Princeton-Stanford game, at the Courtside Club off of main court. The reception will include a cash (no host) bar and hosted light hors d'oeuvres.
Admission will be free for Princeton Club members, Friends of Princeton Basketball, and Princeton Varsity Club members. For non-members and guests we will be requesting a $15 admission fee to help defray the cost of rental charges being assessed by Oakland Arena.
There are many Bay Area alumni who have affiliations with both Princeton and Stanford, so this is sure to be an exciting game. Stanford (7-0) has never lost in the Pete Newell Challenge, having beaten Temple (1998), Mississippi State (1999), Duke (2000), Michigan State (2001), Gonzaga (2002, 2003) and USF (2004). In last year’s event, Stanford defeated USF, 93-83, in overtime. So come on out and cheer for Princeton!
