Lesley Currier |
| Meet the Director and Enjoy an Afternoon Performance with
the Family
Escape down the rabbit
hole with Marin Shakespeare's own original adaptation of Lewis Carroll's
whimsical, wacky and wonderfully twisted tale -- sure to delight children and
grown-ups alike. Join Alice, the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter and more for a
theatrical feast of tea, tarts and tantalizingly tickling words and images
There will be a special pre-show opportunity for Princeton alumni: Meet at
3:15 behind the haybales for a half-hour pre-show introduction by Lesley
Schisgall Currier '84, Founder and Executive Director of Marin Shakespeare, who
adapted and directed "Alice". Lesley will talk about how she adapted the
production and give you a glimpse into the creative process at work. You may
bring your own picnic to the pre-show talk if you like, however seats for the
show should be saved early (Marin Shakespeare has seat cushions available, or
you can bring your own blanket or cushions). Show starts at 4pm.
Princeton alumni will receive discounted admission to the show, courtesy of
Lesley. $20 for adults, $15 for children under age 18. When you arrive at the
Box Office on the day of the show, you can inform the attendant that you are
with the Princeton group. You can pay cash, check or credit card (except
American Express) at the door.
Please call Lesley at 415-499-4485 to reserve your seats so she knows how many
alumni to expect.

| Help maintain this living tribute to all whose lives have
been touched by AIDS
The National AIDS
Memorial Grove depends on the kindness of volunteers to help maintain the grove
and for the past three years Princeton alumni have stepped up to the plate.
Please join us for a day of planting, clearing brush and helping to make the
grove a peaceful place for those touched by AIDS to reflect and heal.
NAMG is located in a secluded dell in the eastern end of Golden Gate Park at the
intersection of Bowling Green and Middle Drive East (across from the tennis
courts). Breakfast and lunch will be provided. You will need to fill out a
release form which can be found on the NAMG website or at the table the day of
the event. For more information about the grove please visit:

| Private tour of the Monet in Normandy show at the Legion
of Honor Museum
Join us for a private
docent-led tour of the Monet in Normandy show at the Legion.
From the sublime isolation of the great chalk limestone cliffs at Etretat to the
picturesque and romantic seaside at Trouville, this is Monet's Normandy captured
in 53 unforgettable paintings.
Claude Monet spent much of his life in Normandy in northern France and his art
reflects his special relationship with this countryside and its topographical
features, with its towns and villages, and the seasonal rhythms of the region.
Monet gained artistic inspiration from these subjects and returned to them
throughout his career. Of particular interest is his interpretation of the
sparkling, surging bodies of water found in Normandy, from the bustling
commercial harbor at Le Havre, to scenery along the Seine, or beside quiet river
banks, such as the Epte, to the crashing waves at Etretat. Manmade monuments,
such as Rouen cathedral, also figure in Monet’s repertoire and will be
represented in this selection of approximately 50 paintings.
The price is $5 for Legion of Honor Members, $17 for seniors 65+, and $20 for
adults. Includes general admission ticket, admission to the Monet exhibit, and
docent tour.
