Join us for the third annual PCNC cookout for the residents of the Clara-Mateo Alliance, a not-for-profit group that provides shelter and supportive services to people in need and assists them in finding stable housing and developing self sufficiency. David Caploe gave an excellent presentation on Political Islam to the club in May and on Middle East Madness in August.

David Caploe is an A.B. honors graduate of Harvard in Social Theory, with an M.A. in Politics and Ph.D in International Political Economy from Princeton. He has been a close observer of the Middle East since the 1973 October War, when he was living in Israel and working with the Israeli peace movement. For the next several years, he was involved in Middle East-related activities in both Europe and the US, taking part in the Princeton Near East Faculty Seminar chaired by Carl Brown.
