| start recovering from Reunions!
Since the first Friday
of the month falls squarely in the thick of Reunions, pub night moves to the
second Friday (June 8). For those who won't have made it all the way back,
this'll be a good chance to hear about Reunions wackiness -- the costumes, the
mud, the P-Rade, the abundance of babies at the 10th, your weird former roommate
who's now inexplicably normal (or vice versa...), etc. :-)

| Young Alumni drinks at a new SOMA hotspot
Join other young alumni
at one of Zagat's top rated newcomer bars to the San Francisco SoMA scene: Mint
Lounge (http://mintloungesf.com/, 415-625-8880). It is tucked in the Old Mint
building, so please be on the look-out for the orange and black contingent.
The short-lived Bar of Contemporary Art has ceded its Old Mint building space to
this new SoMa venue that's a laid-back affair featuring high ceilings, cement
floors and minimalist decor; DJs spin regularly, and the spot draws those eager
to kick back post-work (with a $3 happy-hour martini) or after shopping at the
nearby Westfield Centre.

| Walking tour of several highlights of Golden Gate
Park
Enjoy a Sunday afternoon
walking tour of some of the old and new highlights of Golden Gate Park, all of
them free. After meeting near Kezar Stadium at the southeast corner of the park,
we will take a zig-zag route that includes the Children's Playground with its
1912 Carousel, the AIDS Memorial Grove, the observation tower in the new DeYoung
Museum, a long circuit of the San Francisco Botanical Garden (Strybing
Arboretum), and a climb up Strawberry Hill in the middle of Stow Lake. Depending
on the time and group energy level, we may head farther west into the
less-visited forests west of Stow Lake. We will return to the starting point by
5 p.m. via the S.F. Muni's N-Judah line ($1.50 fare). Bring snacks, and dress
for San Francisco summer weather (either chill fog or warm sun). Princeton
friends and family are welcome, and strollers are feasible.
The meeting place is accessible via BART with a transfer to the N-Judah line
outbound at the Civic Center Station. Get off at Stanyan Street and walk one
block north to Frederick. Parking may be available in a lot near the
intersection of Frederick and Stanyan.
RSVP is helpful, but not required.

| Saving for College - for kids, grandkids or other special
children
Our speaker, Jim
Lugannani '81, is a Financial Advisor with UBS Financial Services, Inc. He works
with individuals and families on long range financial planning, and assists in
the implementation of those plans. Jim will share his personal thoughts as well
as UBS Financial Services' views on the options for saving for college. This
seminar will be valuable for anyone who may wish to contribute to funding the
education of a child.
PLEASE RSVP only if you are certain you can join us, as lunches are
specificially ordered for the number of people who indicate they will attend.
Cancellations can be accepted up until the day prior to the event. We have had
large numbers of no-shows in the past and future events will be paid in advance
if this continues.
