The Princeton Club of Northern California Annual Dinner 10/25 6-9:30 San Francisco Cathy Legg Tanimura '99
Join Fellow Alumni and Friends at the Annual Gathering of the Bay Area Princeton Community!

We are delighted to welcome Princeton University Professor David Dobkin, Dean of the Faculty, former Chair of the Computer Science Department, and Phillip Y. Goldman '86 Professor in Computer Science to the Bay Area as our special guest for the evening. He will speak about themes from his popular Freshman Seminar "Sex, Money, and Rock and Roll: Information Technology and Society." He says, "Three of the drivers of the web have been the porn industry, the financial industry and the sharing and selling of digital music. As the web becomes ubiquitous in our society, a number of policy and legal issues arise that need to be resolved."

Dean Dobkin has impressed his students with his openness and approachability by inviting them all to be his friend on Facebook.com and through his photo-blogging site of life as a Princeton administrator. Dobkin, who has worked at Princeton since 1981, is an innovator in the field of three dimensional modeling, having recently worked on a project aimed at building a three-dimensional version of Google as well as creating software to deal with modeling faces and images.

In addition to Dobkin's presentation, guests will enjoy the traditional PCNC awards presentation, as well as be treated to excellent food by the chefs-in-training at the California Culinary Academy and wine from the vineyards of alumnus Bill Hambrecht '57.

It is an appropriate time of year to don orange and black, so please dress in festive business casual Princeton attire for the evening.
