| Ivy Alum Social Event for Singles
Enjoy some local wine while meeting other single Ivy alumni! What is speed dating? It is a series of five-minute mini dates. No one wants to be stuck on a long date with someone you have no interest in. Never been speed dating? That's okay! This is the perfect time to try it out--you have nothing to lose.
We will have separate age groups for the daters. When you RSVP, please specify which age group you would like to participate in. Depending on how many people we have, we may be able to create some additional age groups if requested.
Remember, this is an opportunity to meet new people, you don't necessarily have to find a love interest!
7:00 pm - Check In (hors d'oeuvres will be provided)
7:30 pm - Speed Dating
*Please make sure you arrive on time. We will start promptly at 7:30 pm.
Cost:
$25 per person when you RSVP by August 28, 2008
$35 if you RSVP after August 28th

| Gather to discuss books with area alumnae.
On the second Wednesday of each month, the PWN Book Club gathers in a member's home or an area restaurant to eat, chat, and (usually) discuss that month's literary selection. The location changes from month to month so we can be welcoming to alumnae from all over the Bay Area, and books are chosen by consensus with those who show up! Recent selections have included both fiction and non-fiction, modern and classic, from "Uncle Tom's Cabin" to "The Botany of Desire", "The Virgin Suicides", and "Ender's Game". New participants are welcome all the time.

San Francisco |
Jessie Garton '05 |
| Please join us in welcoming the newest fellows to the Bay Area!
We hope that everyone could join us for this opportunity to connect with others in the Princeton Project 55 and Harvard CPIC communities, meet this year's fellows, and learn more about our programs. As this is the first event of the year, we'll also introduce this year's upcoming activities and events.
We hope to see you all there!
Best,
Jessie Garton, Princeton '05
Jennifer Gordon Stein, Harvard
Project 55 and CPIC Bay Area Coordinators
HOW TO GET THERE
The Chateau Tivoli is a bed and breakfast located at the corner of Steiner and Golden Gate Avenue. If you're using public transportation, the two closest city bus routes are the Fulton 5 and the Fillmore 22, and the closest BART station is Civic Center.
PRINCETON PROJECT 55 OVERVIEW
Princeton Project 55's Public Interest Program (PIP) places recent graduates of Princeton University in year-long Fellowships at non-profit and community organizations across the country. Since 1990, the Public Interest Program has matched more than 1,200 talented young alumni with non-profits nationwide. The Program seeks to build a community among Fellows, the organizations at which they work, local alumni volunteers, and the alumni mentors who are matched with each Fellow. One-year Fellowships are an outstanding opportunity for recent graduates to gain a greater understanding and appreciation of significant public interest issues.
HARVARD CPIC OVERVIEW
CPIC is the link between Harvard College students and recent graduates and nonprofit organizations across the United States. Nearly 60 percent of Harvard seniors engage in public service at some point during their time in college, and there is growing interest among the student body to continue their public service pursuits following graduation. During the 2006-2007 academic year, 215 students applied for the CPIC Internship and Fellowship Program. This past year, CPIC placed 70 graduates and undergraduates in yearlong Fellowships and Summer Internships with organizations in Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, and Washington, DC.

| Alumni Winery Tour & Tasting |
9/27 |

Napa and Sonoma Valleys |
Peter Heinecke '87 |
| Harvest Trip to the Napa Valley
The Princeton Club will head to the wine country for a very special winetasting event. We will begin our day in the Carneros region (just south of the Sonoma and Napa Valleys) at Nicholson Ranch Winery. Ramona Nicholson '85 will provide a tour of the winery and vineyards and then lead a tasting of Nicholson Ranch's premium chardonnays, pinot noirs and syrahs. From there we will head to the less visited side of Napa Valley, the Silverado Trail. At the home of Larry Kurtz '72, we will enjoy two or three flights of different varietals from the nearby appellations and enjoy a gourmet lunch designed to complement our wines. Depending on timing and availability we may visit an additional winery.
Our starting point, the Nicholson Ranch Winery is located at 4200 Napa Road, Sonoma, CA 95476. Take Highway 101 North to Highway 37, go East (right) towards Napa/Vallejo. Turn left onto Highway 121 towards Sonoma. You will pass Infineon Raceway on your left. You will come to an intersection where Highway 121 splits off from Highway 116. Stay to the right on the long sweeping arc to remain on Highway 121. At the 12/121 split, continue straight ahead. Do not take the left turn onto the 12 towards Sonoma. Continue on Highway 121 to the next traffic light, Napa Road. Turn left onto Napa Road and then take an immediate right at the Nicholson Ranch entrance.
