| Tour of Annie Leibovitz's Exhibit: Women
This exhibition features
50 photographs of women by the renowned
portrait photographer Annie Leibovitz. In these images, Leibovitz studies women
from all walks of life: from women of the street and strip clubs to a woman in
the Supreme Court, and from athletes and actresses to aerospace engineers.
These works examine how women look at themselves and what they do. Susan Sontag
explains, "So this is what women are now - as different, as varied, as heroic,
as forlorn, as conventional, as unconventional as this."
Organized by The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., this exhibition is

| Hike through beautiful wilderness preserve
We will lead both a
shorter, relatively flat family hike as well as a more challenging hike up Adobe
Creek above Rancho San Antonio. Children will enjoy the organic farm with
animals and gardens. The adult hike features exceptional foliage and
spectacular views of the Bay and Silicon Valley. See www.hiddenvilla.org for

Hidden Villa is 2.3 miles west of the El Monte/Moody Road exit from I-280 in Los
Altos. Take the West exit towards Foothill College. Half a mile west of I-280,
El Monte splits into Moody (L) and Elena (R). In another half-mile, veer left
again to stay on Moody. (Do not take Altamont, the road straight ahead.)
Follow the Hidden Villa hostel signs and turn left at the Hidden Villa gate.
Both hikes will leave from the garden opposite the hostel at 10 a.m. Please
bring a bag lunch and plenty of water.
